Acoustics Services for Businesses and Industries

With the help of our certified collaborators, we support companies through all phases of noise  analysis, measurement, and management, providing comprehensive technical support and targeted solutions for  regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and industrial noise impact control.

Sound Pressure: The Basic Principle

Sound pressure is the change in pressure in the air generated by a sound wave, and is what we perceive as sound.

It is measured in Pascal (Pa) or, more commonly, in Decibel (dB) via the Sound Pressure Level (SPL).

It is not a property of the source, but depends on distance and environmental conditions, representing the key parameter for evaluating the intensity and acoustic impact of plants, machinery and production processes.

Phonometric Studies and Industrial Acoustic Surveys

Phonometric studies allow us to measure and analyze the noise levels generated by plants and production lines, verifying compliance with legal limits regarding noise pollution and workplace safety.

Instrumentation and Methodology

Measurements are performed with Class 1 sound level meters, certified and calibrated instruments capable of detecting fundamental parameters such as:

  • Equivalent sound level (Leq)
  • Peak Level (Lpic)
  • Percentile levels (L10, L90, etc.)

Phases

Operative

  1. Inspection and preliminary analysis of the company's sources and receptors
  2. Calibration of the sound level meter with a certified calibrator
  3. Sound data acquisition under different operating conditions
  4. Processing and analysis of results with professional software
  5. Technical report (sound level assessment) with comparison to regulatory limits and proposal for noise mitigation or remediation measures

Areas of

applicazione

  • Industrial and manufacturing plants
  • Metalworking, chemical, food and logistics sectors
  • Thermal power plants, electrical cabins and production departments
  • Noisy construction sites, production lines, and machinery
  • Verification of compliance with the noise emission limits set by Law 447/1995 and current regulations

Acoustic Intensimetry

Acoustic intensimetry is an advanced technique that allows us to measure the direction and intensity of the flow of sound energy emitted by a source.

Compared to traditional phonometric surveys, it allows for a three-dimensional mapping of the acoustic field, precisely identifying the predominant noise sources.

Instrumentation used

  • Intensimetric probe with two phase-coupled condenser microphones, to simultaneously measure pressure and velocity of acoustic particles
  • Dual-channel digital analyzer (Class 1 or multi-channel sound level meter) with dedicated software for calculating the sound intensity spectrum (1/3-octave bands or FFT)

Industrial applications

  • Location of noise sources in plants, fans, compressors or production lines
  • Comparative analysis of noise emissions from machinery and components
  • Verification of the effectiveness of soundproofing or acoustic shielding interventions
  • Acoustic quality checks during the design or testing phase
  • Technical support for the acoustic design of new systems

Certified Technical Consulting and Reports

All surveys and analyses are carried out by qualified Acoustic Technicians (TCA) registered in the regional lists.

At the end of each activity, a certified technical report is drawn up, compliant with regulations on noise pollution and workplace safety (Legislative Decree 81/2008).

Reports include:

  • Graphs and tables of detected sound levels
  • Comparison with the expected emission and immission limits
  • Technical recommendations for noise reduction and control

Electrical Assembly and Wiring

We also offer electrical assembly and wiring services for components and systems.

 We specialize in precision assembly.
